Come on, there`s a GM sheet in the show`s branding, and I really wanted to write about manga and legal pot – but hey, okay, well, I`m accepting a metaphorical journey instead. There`s a lot to enjoy about Legal Drug and its follow-up series, Drug & Drop, though I`m pretty disappointed that the show isn`t really about marijuana. This is easily a manga that I have read several times and look forward to the release of Drug & Drop by Dark Horse, which is more than we can say about other comics and manga. Legal Drug managed to persuade and keep my interest to the end, which is important for any type of serial work, and Drug & Drop will probably satisfy our appetites or know what the deal is with Kazehaya, Rikuo and even Kakei and his ridiculous jobs. I would recommend it to the end for xxxHolic fans as it will help fulfill this desire for paranormal short stories, and there are very similar character elements between the two series. Kazehaya and Rikuo are more than implicit that they are destined to meet and perhaps be the people they all need to help them get what they are looking for. Legal Drug could easily be one of the best Clamp series and is really damaged only by the fact that it was never finished and has many loose ends that have not been linked.

Legal Drug has thankfully continued under the name Drug & Drop and Dark Horse will release it in 2015. And there is really good fan service on the site, divided between the chapters of our heroes in somewhat compromising positions. The last arc in particular is particularly heavily influenced by the Shounen elements, but I believe it was actually the strongest story in the collection and ended up being my favorite arc because there`s a lot going on there. In any case, a bunch of them definitely take a back seat to the stories and I don`t think Legal Drug was supposed to be a Shounen-ai manga, but the elements are strongly present and this might put off some readers who were expecting another xxxHolic (which focused largely on Watanuki). If you`re a fan of this (and I`ll be honest, it can be a bit of a guilty pleasure), then Legal Drug is a fantastic bishounen manga because it has cute guys, an interesting story and well-made characters and we all know how hard it is to find all 3 in shounen-ai. There are some very serious effects of same-sex relationships here and be prepared to do all the Shounen AI fanservice games of characters accidentally falling asleep in the wrong bed, cross-dressing, and a group of guys thinking about how cute and beautiful they are. As a big manga fan (especially CLAMP works), it wasn`t too shocking or anything to me, but it deserves a warning for people who only know CLAMP as the people who made this cute Cardcaptor cartoon.
